Safety Meetings

Safety Requirements can now be completed in Eservices. It is required for personnel to have a monthly safety meeting in order to participate in any CAP exercise. Please make sure that you stay current!

Welcome to The Civil Air Patrol, Riverside Senior Squadron 5 official web site, We serve the Riverside and San Bernardino Counties for Search and Rescue, Disaster Relief, and Counter drug.

The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is the official civilian auxiliary to the United States Air Force. Its is a volunteer oriented, non-profit organization with over 1700 units comprised of 56,000 members. Squadron 5 is the only Senior member only squadron in Group 3, and is the largest senior squadron in California Wing.

Squadron 5 Member receives MSA

Squadron 5 and its members would like to congratulate 1Lt. Mark Wheeler in receiving the Meritorious Service Award for his outstanding work during the Air Force Evaluated Exercise. This award is only given out at the Region level and is a great accomplishment.

Mishap Free Squadron

Squadron 5 received an award for being mishap free for the Fiscal Year 2010. Congratulations to the Safety Officers as well as everyone else for keeping this squadron safe.

Squadron 5 Members Receive Outstanding at EVAL

The Air Force evaluated exercise results are in and it appears that this year CAWG passed with flying colors (No pun intended to our aircraft painting neighbor). Two Sections received "Outstanding's" from the Air Force Evaluators. Both these sections were headed up by either current or former squadron 5 members. Congratulations guys!

CAWG Biannual Air Force Evaluation

Riverside Senior Squadron Five hosted the California Wing Air Force Evaluated Exercise. Squadron 5's facilities were given a makeover for the exercise which included several technological upgrades. The Air Force representatives, as well as many CAP members were very impressed with Squadron 5's facilities and hospitality. Thank you to those members that helped represent Squadron 5 at this very important event..
